Several small studies suggest gotu kola may help reduce swelling and improve blood flow. In a study of 94 people with venous insufficiency, those who took gotu kola saw their symptoms improve compared to those who took placebo. In another study of people with varicose veins, ultrasound tests showed that people who took gotu kola had less leakage of fluid.
It’s also recommended to take Gotu Kola before a flight to prevent swelling in the legs and ankles.
Used to help with blood pressure.
Because of it’s ability to help with circulation, Gotu Kola has been known to assist in reducing high blood pressure. A recent study showed promising results when it comes to using this herb to help with blood pressure because it can relieve the tension in the arterial system, increasing circulation and improving blood flow.
It even improves memory!
